We were having a sleepover-themed party (but the kids were too little for an actual sleepover) and I realized at the last minute that a doughnut shaped cake with sprinkles would be perfect. The pans are light weight and made the cake I wanted. It was maybe smaller than I anticipated, close to 8 inches, but plenty bigger than a regular doughnut. I used pink glaze and sprinkles to finish it off and was pleased with the results.

When I first received this pan I thought it was going to be bigger then it was and did not see how it would hold 10 cups.Its just like an 8" cake pan with the center cut out. It was able to hold a red velvet mix with no problem.The cake baked up very nice with great color and once I cut the top off and put them together it was perfect! It was not hard to put together and easy to hid the seam with frosting!I did a red velvet cake (without the red food color) and it looked just like a donut! I still covered it cream cheese frosting (dyed to color I wanted) so the cake would not dry out.
