Nice and easy

This is a very nice item and works well when used properly. The only thing that you have to careful of is making sure that you use a cooking spray, like Pam, and spray evenly or you will get a pool at the bottom. If you spray too little, the tops will break off in the pan.Basically, if you grease it properly, it works great and the mini-teared cupcakes look fantastic.

I purchased 6 of these in 2011 to make 700 miniature wedding cakes and they worked very well. After reading the reviews, it occurred to me that the difference in getting the cakes out easily or having a struggle has to be the batter used. We used a recipe from scratch, which was more dense, similar to a pound cake. We did have some cakes that were a challenge in terms of the release, but we just stuck them back together while they were still warm and they were fine. If you are using a light and airy recipe, I can see how this would be a difficult pan to work with. If you plan on using a boxed mix, better make it more dense. Also, don't try to take them out the second they come out of the oven. Let them rest for a couple of minutes and then remove the cakes from the pan.
