These pans are very well made, of course by Wilton. My plan was to make small cakes for each coworker at Valentines Day, and I purchased two pans, planning to make it like a two layer cake for each person. When I received the pans, they are actually bigger than the idea I got from them in the picture. Glad because I didn't have to do double baking, I only had to make 8! They were a hit, the only problem is finding a pan big enough to carry them in! Love these pans

This cake pan creates a single layer cake that is about the right size for two dessert portions, or a double layer cake that makes about four portions. Of course, hunger and the quality of the dessert can easily overcome portion sizes!The pan is the usual Wilton quality, not the heaviest bakeware available, but more than adequate for most home bakers. The non-stick surface works well and makes clean up easy. Though the pan can be washed in the dishwasher, I prefer to wash most of my pans by hand. The pan is deeper than I expected, which does make a nice single layer cake or an impressively tall two layer cake.Though one would tend to think "a heart is a heart is a heart" that's not always true. This heart shape is very lovely and well proportioned (in my opinion) and very reminiscent of the candy conversation heart shape.Nice pan. Might have to have a second one before next Valentine's Day.
