It took be five hours just to decorate the cake but it is well worth seeing the smile on my son's face! My finished product turned out great although I did not stick to the instructions. I found them to be more confusing than just figuring it out on my own and I did not always agree with which tip to use in certain places. My cake did not stick to the pan which I greased three times and dusted with flour. There is a lot of small detail to decorate so be patient and ready for a long night when decorating. I'd suggest doing it the night before.I used the recipe on the instructions for the frosting which was great, however, the recipe is for 3 cups but instructions say that you'll need 5 cups. I made two batches and had way too much frosting but better safe than sorry!I highly recommend using couplers with your pastry bags so you can change tips. You'll need 6 bags and 6 couplers.The instructions say to smooth out areas with your finger dipped in cornstarch. I tried this and although it worked, it left white cornstarch on my black frosting. I ended up using light corn syrup on my finger.I gave this pan 4 stars instead of 5 because I think that the instructions were a little off. I would make this cake again if my son wanted Wall-e to come to his next birthday party but I would only recommend it to a friend who has the patients to decorate it.

this cake pan was so easy to use i was hesitant about it because when i make a regular cake it always seems to stick in the middle. I was afraid that would happen with the wall-e pan but to my surprise it didn't the cake came out so nice, until my daughter stuck her fingers in it on the car ride to her party.the only issue i had was the directions were so small i had to make a larger copy of them but other than that, buying the cake pan and food coloring was a great investment for my 2 year old partyAll the kids and adults love it.

Cakes of course are only as good as their makers. Daunting at first the instructions for Wall-e were pretty simple to follow. My finished product looked and tasted amazing. My little ones were thrilled. If you have ever hesitated in buying a themed cake pan don't! In todays economy it makes more sense to spend a little more time to make something then to get it store bought.Only thing I'd recommend is this. If it's your first time using the black food coloring/gel go very easy with it. For the wheels to 'pop' here you really need to get that right contrast between the blacks and greys!
